House of Kraxus

House of Kraxus (working title) is a 2D top-down RPG adventure game featuring strategic turn-based combat. You play as Prince Brendan Kraxus in search of his lost sister, Hannah, and joined by his companions Chase and Courtney. Explore the world of Rhinoxis and meet new allies as you fight through hordes of varied mythical creatures - from goblins to dragons.

Combat is a hybrid between typical turn-based RPG combat and turn based strategy games, allowing you to move your units around the field for tactical advantages and buffs. Expand your party beyond the standard 4 members and have up to 8 units on the field at once, or bench some units to provide backup and passive buffs and healing.

Discover the secrets hidden in the darkest corners of the lands as you venture though the huge overworld, meet dozens of memorable characters and fight for the right to see your destiny through.

Controls

• Move – Arrow keys or WASD
• Run – Hold Shift
• Interact and scroll through dialog – Space bar
• Pause – Escape

In Battle

In the movement phase, select one character to move. You will see what stat buffs or debuffs will be applied over each location. You can only move one space from where the character currently is. During the action phase, choose to Attack the enemy, Defend against their attacks for 50% increased Defence, Swap characters (currently disabled) or attempt to Flee the battle. After everyone has had their turn, including the enemy, you can use an item to heal. If one of your party members goes down, you can use the rest of a potion to heal them. If all members go down, you lose the game.
